Are you aware?

 Social Networking has grown to be popular and the popularity continues to grow. Social networking sites provide people with an opportunity to meet people from around the world. People are able to communicate with others they may not be able to communicate with face to face on a daily basis using these sites.

Many people are using social media to create awareness of some sort.  Many use Facebook, Twitter, and blogs to create an awareness. As we know news spreads the fastest on social media. When using social media many are likely to re-post, re-pin, re-tweet, or share your ad/ info. It is not always about how many friends or followers you have, but how often friends or followers are sharing your information. However, the more friends or followers you have the greater the chance of getting your information out.


When looking through social media sites, I find tons of information on election candidates, news reports (I.E shootings), and information about the Maui Initiative Band. It is important to use social media safely, remember what goes down doesn't always come completely down, and not everything posted is true.
