#TCCfx

Our assignment this week was to attend the TCCfx conference or to view the recording. While attending the conference, we were required to use twitter to tweet about the conference.

After viewing the TCCfx conference, I searched for tweets posted using #tccfx. I could not find a lot of tweets (or I was expecting to see more). If I remember correctly, we had a goal of 150 tweets. I was thinking maybe I didn't have access to people's page, so I didn't have access to people's tweets. However, when I searched using the #tccfx I was able to see people's tweets that were not on my friend's list or in our class. Maybe that was because their tweets were public? Then, I considered that people did not use twitter as often for academic conferences.

I think there are pros and cons to tweeting while at a conference. For example, I found some tweets to be beneficial and included good resources. Some of the tweets just included attending the #tccfx conference.Using Twitter while attending the conference could be engaging. However, it could be distraction as well and could take away attention from the presentation. Overall, I enjoyed the tccfx conference and the experience of using Twitter during an academic conference.
